MomCentral recently offered one of my teens the opportunity to try out a new skin care product from the makers of ProActiv. This new product is designed specifically for teens to make their skincare routine easier. It consists of one product that he must use twice a day to wash his face. That’s it, a one step process, to take the guesswork out of caring for his skin. Since our next to the youngest son, aged 16, soon to be 17, has more of an issue with acne than the youngest one right now, we decided to let him try it out. We want to really put the product to the test, as well as find a solution that will work for him. He will be doing a 30 day test of XOut, to see just how effective it really is.
Up until now, his skincare routine has been very hit and miss. He is more apt to use a product that is one-step, such as a cleansing pad or skin wash. The problem with this is that most of these types of products only do one thing, and they aren’t very effective. XOut is different, it’s a Wash-In treatment and because it has prescription-grade acne medicine that gets deep into pores and stays behind to help kill breakout-causing bacteria on contact, even after washing. It’s an extra-strength anti-microbial, which really means it blasts out acne bacteria. It’s part of what makes it so easy and effective–it keeps working so he doesn’t have to. With this new XOut product, it can be used in three different ways to really get rid of the acne.
- WASH-IN - Cleanse 2 minutes, 2x’s a day, morning and night. Wash-in and rinse off.
- ACNE SPOT TREATMENT - Dab it on annoying zits and head to bed. Does fighting pimples get any easier than sleeping?
- MASK - For more intense cleaning, leave it on for 10 minutes while you watch TV, space out, annoy your little brother, or pwn some n00bs and then rinse off.
As you can see from the following pictures, he suffers from a widespread case of red spots, all over, but most noticeably on his forehead and cheeks. He also deals with the same type of spottiness on his upper chest and back. While this isn’t the most severe case of cane known to mankind, it does make him self-conscious at times. Thankfully the folks at XOut sent along a bar of their product that he can use on his body as well.
He will be using the product twice a day for the next 30 days. Once the thirty days are up, I will be posting after photos as well as writing up a full review on just how well this product works for him. For additional information please visit the X Out product page at http://www.xout.com/. Be sure to keep an eye out on my follow up review in about 30 days.
